Hardman's achievement is not the same as that of Jagalo-del Bosque

Marcelo Lippi, Vicente del Bosque, Mario woke up ....  The list goes on.  No one seems to have John Hardman on this list of legendary football coaches!  Rather, after hearing the name, some may ask the counter question, John Hardman?  Who is this guy again?

It is an exaggeration to say that Jagalo-del Bosque-Lippi kept Hardman in Qatar.  It is also true that the legend will not have a place in the pages of 46-year-old Hardman's achievements.  As a coach, Hardman has a reputation that none of them have.  What is that fame?  As the first coach in history to take the national team of boys and girls to the main stage of the FIFA World Cup.

Canada secured a place in the final of the World Cup in Qatar, beating Jamaica 4-0 in the CONCACAF regional qualifiers yesterday.  John Hardman is the hero behind bringing the Canadian boys team back to the World Cup qualifiers after 36 years.  Through this achievement, this English coach who started coaching in his student life has built that unique fame.

He left the post of coach of Canada women's team in 2016.  That responsibility she took after the 2011 Women's World Cup.  Canada reached the quarter finals in the 2015 World Cup under his coaching.  The Canadian women's team also won bronze at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics with Hardman's hand.  Before the 2019 World Cup, Hardman left the girls' responsibilities to coach the Canadian boys national team.  Less than three years later, he is now the creator of a new history.
