Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz Chhabi: Collected
The people of Pakistan are going to be part of a new history today, Saturday. The country's Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing a no-confidence vote in the lower house of parliament, the National Assembly. If he loses the election, he will be deposed. And if he wins, Imran's mattress will survive this journey. Pakistan's politics has once again taken a dramatic turn with the decision of the Supreme Court to reinstate the parliament. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, but will hold talks to form a new federal government. The new prime minister will be Shahbaz Sharif, president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). A new federal government will be formed like the national government. It will have proportional representation of partner parties.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will accept the Supreme Court's decision to reinstate the lower house of parliament and reject the no-confidence motion. However, he has declared that he will not accept any government imported from abroad. The former star cricketer called for peaceful protests across the country after Esha prayers on Sunday, urging everyone not to accept the government imported into Pakistan.Shahbaz Sharif is far ahead of everyone else in the race to become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. In the race to become the Prime Minister of the country, the son Hamza Shahbaz is fighting a legal battle to become the Chief Minister of Punjab. Fathers and friends have won the Supreme Court battle. The boy's fight is in the Lahore High Court. Today's no-confidence vote is expected to be accompanied by parent-son surprises.
Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh - four provinces of Pakistan. One of the most important of these is Punjab. Hamza Shahbaz sought help from the Lahore High Court on Friday to ensure that the election of the new chief minister of the province was 'fair and transparent'. The Chief Secretary of Punjab, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly (PA) and the Chief of Provincial Police have been named as defendants in Hamza's petition.Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court Amir Bhatti has accepted the petition. Dost Mazari, the deputy speaker of the province, filed another petition in the same court.
Speaker Chowdhury Parvez Elahi recently snatched power from him to join the opposition. The court also accepted the application. At the hearing, Hamza's lawyer, Azam Nazir Tarar, said that on April 6, provincial legislators were barred from entering the assembly building. The session for the election of the Chief Minister of the province was supposed to be held on April 8. It was postponed to 18 April. He said the Punjab government's lawyer had assured the apex court on April 5 that the session would be held the next day. But did not. The Chief Justice then summoned the Punjab lawyer and accepted the application. When the hearing resumed after a brief pause, the judge was informed that the Punjab lawyer was in Islamabad. He will not be able to appear in court. Justice Amir then decided to issue notice to all the defendants for April 11.
The court issued notices to the chief secretary of Punjab, the speaker and deputy speaker of Punjab and the provincial police chief. The judge also wanted a record of the Punjab chief ministerial election from the provincial secretary. He then adjourned the hearing till April 11.Election of Chief Minister of Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bujdar resigned last month. That is why we have to vote for the election of a new Chief Minister. With the support of PML-Q's Chowdhury Parvez Elahi and lawmakers from the PTI (Jahangir Tarin and Alim Khan group), Hamza Shahbaz is in the running to become the next Chief Minister. Among them, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz and other lawmakers were elected in a symbolic vote.
In order to be elected Chief Minister, out of 361 members, 18 votes have to be cast. In Punjab, Imran's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has 173 lawmakers, PML-Q 10, PML-N 175, PPP 6, Independent 5 and Rah-e-Haq 1 lawmaker.
In fact, the fate of the election is being decided by Jahangir Tarin's party. This party which has left PTI has the votes of at least 16 legislators.
Whatever day the session is called, the support is overwhelming. And if nothing new happens today, then after Imran, Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz is far ahead in becoming the next Prime Minister of the country. And next week, father and son are going to sit in two big positions in politics in Pakistan. References: Dawn and The Express Tribune
